What is Worship?

Before diving into how we worship, it’s important to start with the basics: What is worship? Many of us may have our own ideas—singing songs on Sunday, serving in church, or praying before a meal—but biblical worship goes much deeper. My name is Benjamin Cartwright. I am a husband, father of three amazing boys, and a lifelong worship leader. I’ve been serving in worship ministry for over 20 years and currently lead the worship team at Redeemer Bible Church in Virginia.

Raised in a Christian home, I came to know the Lord at an early age, and ever since, God has been shaping my heart for ministry. Worship has always been more than music to me—it’s a calling, a passion, and a joy. Through this blog, I hope to encourage and equip others who are faithfully leading their churches in musical worship.

Whether you’re a seasoned leader or just starting out, I’m glad you’re here.
